He was strong, he tried to help where he could and, in the end, he did what he thought was best for the fight against Voldemort and to protect his friends.ĭobby the House Elf might not be an important character in the grand scheme of things but he is someone we love to talk about and look back to and that’s what makes him one of the best characters in the entire Harry Potter series. Still, their friendship and Dobby’s connection back to the story kept him there and willing to do whatever Harry needed him to do, even if that meant sacrificing himself. There may be people who noticed that it was blocked (muggle parents, wizards who used a car, etc.), and they may be confused themselves, and instead sought an authority (a guard or someone similar) at Platform 9 3/4 as we (normal people behavior) do.

This wasnt given an explanation for in the books. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J. Or at least would put himself on the line to protect him.
But, more than that, there is something about Dobby that keeps us loving him even after all these years.Īnd it probably has something to do with the fact that he was always willing to die for Harry.
